Early spring riding

Definite warming trend here in Minnesota this past week.  Warm enough to do maintenance on the Same Hillborne and get in a couple of 30 mile jaunts.  Both yesterday and today were record high temps for the Twin Cities.  Took it fairly easy and just enjoyed being out on the bike.  Lots of puddles and still some snow/ice in spots, so fenders were welcome.  Have to get some miles in before the Midwest Riv Rally at the beginning of June.  Ended up not taking many photos either day, but did get a couple.  http://tinyurl.com/7j4cdha

For those that care, went to a darker blue tape, pearl white brake cable housing, and a Terry saddle.  For now, decided to stop fighting the Brooks.  In the battle of rivets versus posterior, the metal won out.

 

Oh, and as a guarantee of more snow for us - removed the studded snow tires from both my wife's main bike and my Surly Cross Check today.  Then installed a PDW light on the Hillborne's rear fender.
