The old aluminum rack that came with my 1989 touring bike really
failed me at the all night bike scavenger hunt here in Seattle this
weekend. I'm looking for one with good pannier supports where the bags
won't slam into your fender stays if go over some big bumps. I don't
care about cosmetic condition and HOPE to get one for around 50 bucks.

Axiom has a few very nice models which would meet your requirements.
I use one on my Sam when I want a rack. It's one of the Journeys. I've
toured with it with no issues.

Ryan, I've got a brand new, but not incredibly attractive, rear rack you could have for free. I'm in Seattle as well.

Hey Scot that would be great as I also need to replace my stolen Burly
trailer for a bike camping trip next weekend. If I replace your rack
with a steel one later in the year I'll give yours away to someone
else.

Sounds like a plan, Ryan. I can't direct message from mobile, but if you send me a message we can figure it out. I'm in Belltown.

Say, if anyone in Seattle is looking to sell a Nitto Top Rack I'm looking!
