Wonder if that Carradice bag is actually a really, really faded green bag.  I've seen that happen before.  I believe Derrick in southern California has a similar looking one on his Redwood.

I know this is kind of a shot in the dark for this saddle bags. I'm looking to purchase either a large Acorn Saddle bag or an older style Carradice Bag (I don't even know what year it was that was made)

The idea is that I'm looking to do some longer Brevets next year with SFR (600k, maybe 1200k) and would like to have a large saddle bag to hold some winter wear that matches my Tan Acorn Boxy Bag. It really bums me out that changed the color to ranger tan now. Because I highly desire being matchy matchy on my bike I would really like a tan canvas saddle bag that will match by Tan Box Bag.

If you have a Large Tan Acorn Saddle Bag in good condition, I'm willing to pay MSRP ($135).  Also willing to trade a good condition Handlebar Bag in the original Tan color + cash for the Acorn saddle bag.

Also, does anyone have other large tan canvas saddle bag suggestions?

Greatly appreciated,

Brian

Yes, Eric, the Carradice is a somewhat faded green.  It is mine, and it is also coated with a fair amount of gravel dust.  I brush the dust off occasionally, but can't keep up with the accumulation.

If you are inclined to try making a bag yourself or buy some yardage to have one made, the British tan here:
is pretty close, if not an exact match for your tan acorn, depending on when it was made.  This is the same canvas I have used for some of my bags, still waterproof a few years in service now.  There will be slight variation in color due to fading and die lots and such, but after a couple of months use, and a rain ride or two they will look pretty good together

Ely made me a couple of front rack bags, one very big and one very small -- still have the small one. (In fact, I was a guinea pig for the porteur rack bag). Very nicely done.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the reply. I was actually considering asking Ely from Ruth Works SF. He made some really awesome panniers for a friend of mine.
