Just wanted to let the group know that I'm enjoying two products:

- Evolv Cruiser Shoe - Super grippy on touring and king grip pedals, even when wet.  Fantastically comfortable to walk around in all day, multiple days.  Light weight and breathable.  True to size.  I got them on sale via Zappos under $50.00.

- 37mm Pasela Tires w/out Tourguard on my A. Homer Hilsen.  It's so nice to be able to fit a tire this fat with lower pressures under fenders and still ride this bicycle.  The bicycle still feels swift and quick but even more comfortable.  Really enjoying these.  Roughly 200 miles and no flats.  Looking forward to riding them through a few upcoming longer rides.

I use the 32 mm Paselas on the Ram and 37 mm Paselas on the BStone MB-2. Like them a lot. Not a high mileage tire, but okay.

What did the Paselas replace?

I was running Jack Brown Blues for a LONG time.  Wore through 2 tires (so proud!) and had on the second set on before jumping over to the non-tour guard 37mm Pasela.

Here's a photo of the new fatty tires during yesterday's ride: http://www.flickr.com/photos/amisingh/7687477028/lightbox/

During brevets I ride Grand Bois Cypres.

There really is a difference.

I'll be curious if anyone else gets a pair of the Evolv kicks and what they think.  I like them a lot more than my Sambas  The shoes are made for exploring, so in addition to being grippy and comfortable, they've got good toe protection also. I like them a lot.  I own a pair in the black and the copper.

Amit - I ordered a pair of Cruzers - should get them tomorrow.  I'll let you know the prognosis.  BTW - I had 35mm Pasela Tourguards on my Hilsen for a while.  Barely worked with my 45mm Honjos, and I found them comfy, but heavy.  I also ride the Cypres (awesome tires) but have some Jack Brown Greens lined up for when they wear out.
