Hiya, All!

Along with my Blerito and my matie's Glorius;

I recently found and adopted a fairly pristine 1992 RB-T into my small stable. I Rivved up the cockpit, added rack, some bags, and dynamo lighting, and upgraded Dia-Comp brakes to Paul cantis. Drivetrain is original mid level Sh'mano with orginal Sugino triple crank. Original Avocet 700c x 32 fastgrips are nearly new! Oh, and a B17 of course. A wonderfully easy-riding bike to jump on and go for a ride, one mile or an hundred! Mr Grant had it nailed back then as well. I be lucky, happy boy! See the attached photo.

I also house a 1991 MB-1, which may possibly morph into a 1994 in the near future? Stranger things have happened.

I no longer own it, but it was the remaindered '92 XO-1, purchased in '93 as without wheels or pedals that shortly moved me to order my various 26" wheeled custom roads from Rivendell. The XO-1 saw duty as a gofast, then as a commuter, until I sold it circa 1996.

Not a bad bike, but nothing like Grant's later iterations on the same theme.

Me, the one Bridgestone I'd really like is a RB-1.

I played catch and release with a '94 MB-2, ''93 MB-6 and a '92 (?) RB-T. All were damn fine bikes! I shoulda' been content with those!

Still have the 1993 X0-1 I bought in September of 1993. Not entirely stock. My commuter on rainy days...it has fenders. B-17,CK headset ,  new CX70 caqntis,newer wheels w 105 rear and Suntour XC9000 hubs that Riv was selling for the ridiculously low price of $20. Stock frame,pedals,crank and Ritchey stem,newer heat-treated M-bars. A great bike. Along with its stablemates - 1997 A/R and 2001 Curt-built road and my latest fav SS PX-10 rivved up w M-bars and Nitto stem

Do pre-Grant Bridgestones count?  My Romulus replaced an 82'ish Antares LDT.  Frame was too small, so I'm passing it on to a friend's kid, who wants to get into road riding.

When I got into cycling in 93 I owned a Kona very briefly, maybe 2-3
months, which I sold to purchase an MB-2 that I rode for about 3yrs.
It was initially rigid then I upgraded it with a Softride suspension
stem. It was a great bike that served me well. I ended up selling it
to a friend who as far as I know is still riding it.

Does anyone add suspension stems or seatposts to Rivendells? Long ago, pre-Rivendell, I used a Softride plus an early (CODA) suspension seatpost on a conventional mountain bike and found the setup very comfortable on washboard -- hard, 35 psi 1.95 tires, of course. I hear the Thudbuster is good. I probably would not bother for my current offroad bike, the Fargo, but if I ever set up a dedicated mountain bike, I would consider a suspension stem and good suspension seatpost -- but would not want the complexity and weight of a fork or rear suspension -- I think.
