Almost done with another version of my Rived-up 1983 Stumpjumper, and it's looking like a winner. Albatross bars threaded through a Periscopa out front, along with a Paul basket. Double chainrings with an outer guard. Deerhead brakes, shifters and derailers. Brooks B67. Big Apple 50s. VO Zepplins. It's the Apache 10 Suburban of bikes!

Really like the silver color theme. Nice looking ride. What size frame?

You mention "another version" & the pix label is "V.3". Talk about
versatility! Think about the fact that next year this bike is 30
years old (young). That front rack really makes it. Enjoy the ride.

What freaks me out is that Golden Age Bridgestones are now 20 years old, and back in the early 90's I saw them as having evolved so much from the mountain bikes of the early Stumpjumper era. 1983 to 1992 seemed like so much time when I was thinking about bikes in the early 90's. But now, it's been 20 years since '92 and it seems go have gone so much faster than the 9 years from '83 to '92. Age, I guess, perceived through the lens of bike enthusiasm!

But I will say there has been a lot of evolution since 2000 in the kinds of bikes I like to ride now (Riv-style All-rounders), and that has been tremendous fun!
