Hi!

I really like my Nitto R-15 rack. It's basically an R-14 with pannier supports:

But what it doesn't have is pannier anchors for the bottom. And though I know that aren't absolutely essential, I do like using my TourSacks' bungee ball lower attachments for stabilization.

So now I have this:

Those are just the Nitto band clamps that RBW sells. And though the whole area looks a little "busy" there, the clamps thenselves don't look too bad.

I really like the R-15 too. In fact, if anyone has a spare, let me
know, I'll take it off your hands.

Yeah, new ones, when available, are pricey. Ben's Cycle and Alex's
Cycle appear to have them, though. I suspect I'll get one from one of
those places if the need (e.g. a second RBW bike) arise.

Thomas,

Thanks for pointing out the lack of bungee hook. I would have
completely overlooked that. I also like that rack and maybe I would
make a small bungee hook from a piece of scrap metal.

How about some photos with your TourSacks installed!!

I agree that it's too bad that they didn't think to put a bungee hook on the R-15. But, One can make good use of the rack by using the Ortleib brand of bags. They don't use bungee clips. Rather they use an adjustable bracket that can be set to optimize the R-15.

There was a guy on the list selling a pair of R-15s a long while
back. IIRC he sold one but had still had the second. Try searching
the group for "Nitto R-15" & see what comes up. He was in LA.
