I started riding the bike this week in ways that were slightly challenging (hills mainly).

It's excellent so far. I just decided to take it on my leisure trip up to northern CA this coming week and having it be my bike for my rides up there.

You have a nice set up.  How did you strech out the chainstays so far?

That came out beautifully. The Ergon grips are a nice touch; I've only
seen them in gray. Look forward to seeing this in person.

Thank you. Yeah, cork Ergons. I finally went to Portland last summer and found a wall of those at a bike shop. (Portland is great.) I saw those grips and immediately I knew that they should go on the Alfine Quickbeam that was forming in my head at the time.

Very cool. My dream production Riv looks very close to this. I want an IGH bike with drum brakes.
