Hi gang,
I'm on the lookout for an Atlantis in the not-right-now-but-pretty-
soon time frame, so I'm wondering about size and fit. I'm 5'9" with a
PBH of 84. My 56cm Hillborne is great, but I'm wondering if a 58cm
Atlantis might be a good choice. I'm interested in your opinions,
especially if you measure similarly. Thanks!

I'm not quite 5'10" and have a PBH of 84.5. I ride a 56cm Atlantis - it's fine but I'm pretty sure a 58cm would work for me. My Rambouillet is a 58cm and that works very well. Check Grant's fit charts and information for more guidance.

Either 56 or 58 would work. The 56 takes 26" wheels, which buys slightly fatter tire clearance and less "toe overlap", if you care about such things.

5'10," PBH 85-85.5cm, saddle height 75cm. My 56cm Atlantis fits
great
but lately I have been wanting a 58. Hearing that individuals with
slightly "lower" PBH's than my own 56cm Atlanti or wish to own is
firmly supporting my hunch that
58cm may be the way to go.
Soapscum - do you know for sure what type of riding you will want to
do with the Atlantis? I ask because lately I have been using mine as
a mountain bike on smooth but technical singletrack here in north
Idaho and wonder if the larger frame coupled with 700c wheels might
make trail riding a little trickier considering the boys downstairs.
Also, ask yourself what width tires you will use. I run 50mm actual
Michelin Country Dry2 ($13 each! 600g) and they subtract from
standover significantly.
