I just got my Happy Birthday email, with a 10% discount coupon for one item.  I was shocked and offended that it contains disclaimer language that I am not permitted to transfer the coupon code to my valet.  It's an outrage, I tell you, an OUTRAGE!  My valet, Alistair, is beside himself in anguish.

Perhaps it's merely another software bug, but the damage is done.

Yep, sorry. We really had to crack down. Customers were transferring
the birthday credits not only to their valets, but to their footmen,
butlers, porters, grooms, chauffeurs, and scullery maids, as well.

Fine for Boxing Day, I suppose, but golly.

Cheers,

John

Seth- Our TV only gets one channel and it's not PBS, but we *do* watch
a lot of old movies from the 30's and 40's. -JAB

I'd not paid attention to it previously, but a couple of weeks ago when the wife and my son were watching the previous season on the PBS site to catch up and get ready for this coming season, I knew it was something I'd end up watching along with them.

John,  you *can* watch them on the PBS website (maybe not the first season anymore, but, you can catch the previous week's episode ahead of time).

Here at RBW, Downton Abbey is our middle name. Apologies to those who
feel left out.

No need for anyone to feel left out: you can watch episodes online

I was noticing that the NewBar had a surprising resemblance, at least in the curve of the swept-back portion, to the handlebars on Cousin Matthew's rod-braked roadster.

.....cousin Matthew who might be back on the road again soon!  He felt his legs!  Is it Sunday yet?

Dang, Jeremy....that's some fine name. The Cousin Matthew bar. But
based on the foul experience we had trying to name the A. Homer Hilsen
the Honus Wagner, inform cousin Matthew that he's no closer to
immotality today than he was yesterday.

Not to resurrect a dead thread AND get it back on track, but what's the deal with the birthday coupon? I was a member when membership was a thing (not sure if it still is) and I thought I gave 'em my b-day.

I turned 30 this week and think I need to King cages and some consumables.
