How's the big basket/small rack combo work out?

I have a Nitto M-12 and I'd like to put the big Wald basket on it. I'd probably never put much weight in it (maybe just a sleeping bag, pillow, and sleeping pad) or maybe a light grocery run, but is the surface area of the rack insufficient for keeping such a large basket stable?

I do not see any reason the large Wald basket would work just fine on the M-12 rack.

That said, the medium basket is just great and has very big overfill capacity when used with a net. I bought a Sackville rack bag and have an Acorn handlebar bag on another bike. But the simplicity of the rack and net get used most often.
