I lived about 20 years in Napa and 20 years in the Berkeley area, and
I often think on how there just doesn't seem to be that thick, close
fog with 30 yards visibility like when I was younger. I remember as a
teen, I'd often drive by watching the tail lights of the car ahead as
much as watching the road.
On my bike, it made for a cold, clammy ride that has only been beat in
my experience by the bone chilling 35 degree drizzle of a Seattle
winter, where I prayed for the temp to dip below freezing so I could
stay dry and warm up.
