The Chico Police Department is currently seeking the owners of a number of
bicycles that were recovered during the investigation of a residential

During the investigation, it was determined the person found to be in
possession of (33) high end bicycles is suspected to have committed a number
of thefts in the Bay Area. Specifically Marin County and the City of
Greenbrae. Sources also indicated some of the recovered bicycles may have
been stolen from the Sacramento Area.

All of these thefts occurred between August 2011 and February 18, 2012.

The same sources advised the suspect may have sold and completed 40-50
craiglist transactions to unsuspecting persons.

They are only identified by make and model.
If you believe one of the listed bicycles belongs to you and was we are
asking that you contact:

Chico Police Department at (530) 897-5828

Please provide a law enforcement report number documenting the theft of the
bicycle.
If the theft was not reported to law enforcement and you wish to claim one
of the bicycles,
we will need proof of purchase from a verifiable bicycle shop, or specific
upgraded or modified component information, personally applied decals,
paint, or damage detail.

The bicycles we wish to return are:

3. Santa Cruz Mountain
4. Giant Perigee
5. Lemond Reynolds 525
6. Bianchi SL3
7. Giant Avail
8. Novara Ranoonee
9. Scattante SL3

11. Cannondale Road
12. Cervelo Road
13. Specialized Hard Rock
14. Specialized Hard Rock Comp
15. Haro V-4
16. Giant FSR2
17. Winsor Wellington
18. Bianchi Alloro

No worries. Worth noting that some of the stolen bikes are from the Marin/SF area.

I guess when it comes to finding the owners of stolen bikes, it's the more the merrier.
