bombadil downtube shifter boss broken

hi. was attempting to adjust my downtube cable stop because it wasn't lined up with the cable. didn't feel like I was using too much pressure but obviously was because the shifter boss snapped off. I'd like to get this fixed on the quick as I'm gearing up for a paint job. I guess it is better now than after. any Bay Area (east bay) recommendations? I'm assuming this is something that I wouldn't bring the bike to walnut creek for. thanks for your input!

ps. was riding around crater lake OR with my new to me bomba this weekend with a friend on his mb-2. I'll post a pic when I'm on my computer. mobile google groups doesn't seem to allow posting images.

Oops...my bad. DT shifter BOSS.

You mean the part welded to the frame?

You could use a clamp-on boss just to rig it in a jiffy if you cannot find a better solution as quick as you need.

I'd still call Riv and see what they recommend.
