Hi everyone,
Now we've finally recovered from the excitement that was the inaugural RubyConfAU our thoughts are turning to the next edition. We had a blast organising the conference and would love to hand over the reins to other members of the community.
During the conference we had feedback from a number of people who indicated they'd like to be part of the team organising the next conference. We didn't take names, and hopefully it wasn't the beer talking, so if you're interested, now is the time to step up.
The conference was organised under the auspices of Ruby Australia, and they, along with the organisers of this year's conference will be making the final decision as to when and where the next conference will be held.
The previous organising committee is currently putting together a summary of what was done when, by whom and what worked and what didn't. We're more than happy to advise the organisers of the next conference during the planning process.
If you are interested in stepping up, please send your expression of interest to Martin Stannard (mstannard at gmail.com) by Friday, 5/4/13.

We'd love to see submissions from individuals or groups who'd like to be involved. Please send us a paragraph or so outlining how you'd like to help, what expertise you bring and how you think the next conference could be even bigger and better that this year's.
