JOB: Senior and Mid-level Ruby on Rails Developers - Ruby, Python, PHP - Permanent $80-120k package - Melbourne (on-site)

We are in search for Senior and Mid-level Ruby on Rails Developers for a leading Digital Marketing company. The client is well known for innovation, delivery and business consulting. With some of the biggest names as their long term clients there has been exciting new developments and growth for the company. The company is situated in south east inner suburbs.

We are looking for Software Developers that have a desire to work in a fast paced, agile work environment. You must have knowledge of web applications, scripts, or apps using Open Source development languages such as Ruby on Rails, Java, Python or PHP. The position is working within a team of 6 that are talented, passionate and close knit.

 

Requirements:

• Strong desire to learn new technologies
• Knowledge of Open-Source and Object Oriented programming languages (Ruby, Python, PHP, Java, C++)
• Strong level of attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  Ability to prioritise and manage a reasonable workload
• Energy and dedication

The ideal candidate will have some of the following:

• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience with Behaviour Driven (BDD) and Test Driven (TDD) development techniques.
• Development experiencing using APIs (REST, XMLRPC, SOAP).
• Development experience using MySQL or other SQL*like databases (MySQL, Sqlite, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Experience using source control systems such as SVN and Git
