Script Frenzy -- NaNoWriMo's script/screenplay sibling -- starts on April 1. I'm going to give it a go (even though I'm nowhere near "speculative fiction" on this one.) Is anyone else on board?

I'm planning on it.

We're having a "reading night" next Tuesday -- I'm tentatively planning to read my opening pages -- come around and read yours if you're up for it. I'm sure we can find people to take parts.

I actually have several ideas but, I'm too busy working on something other than a script which requires my immediate attention.

I'm going to take a crack at it, too. I have one big project and a few smaller ones I've been preparing, not all of them speculative. But I'll see if I can have some of the speculative-ish pages done by meeting time.

I’m going to give it the old college try!

(But, then again, I dropped out three times before I actually graduated.)

I got my day 1 pages in last night. First scene.

I told Janice, 'writing dialog is easy. making dialog DO something is hard.'

I was starting to panic after 4 pages, but finally my characters have a voice of their own. Whew. Then yesterday I rushed through basic character introductions (I'm actually glad they are brief) and got to the central road-trip plot piece so I was happy about that.

As I note in my blog post, this time I have a separate document called "Character Dossier" where I'm keeping notes as to who's who and what their history is as it reveals itself.
