I'm in the same boat. Docker deprecated the legacy Manifest V2 Schema 1. Can't Quay switch the default to use V2 Scheme 2?

Hi ,

we're still working on a couple of improvements on Quay.io and would like to finalize them before we globally enable the v2_2 schema support. So far we made it available for selected namespaces only. Of course you can use Red Hat Quay in the meantime which already features the full v2_2 support since version 3.0. We aim to switch it on globally at the end of the year but in case the underlying changes will take longer than expected it would slip to next year.

Sorry for any inconvenience
Dirk

Hi Dirk,

Any updates to this as we're past the end of the year?

Hi Alan,

as feared, the required underlying changes took longer than expected and we had to postpone the GA of v2_2. We will keep you posted.

This work has been completed and all repositories, new and old, should have this functionality.
