Registration is open for two workshop sections designed to prepare CUNY faculty to teach online or hybrid courses. The summer workshops of “Preparation for Teaching Online: A Foundational Workshop for CUNY Faculty,” are scheduled for June 16-29 or July 7-20.  All workshop activities will be online—there are no face to face or real-time meetings required.

These CUNY-sponsored workshops are offered by the faculty development team at the School of Professional Studies (SPS). Participants should be faculty who are scheduled to teach an online or hybrid course in an upcoming semester (CUNY office will contact academic supervisor for each applicant to request approval before confirming registration). After successfully completing the requirements based on specific grading criteria and rubrics of the workshop, participants will receive a certificate of completion from SPS. Participants will also receive a payment from CUNY through Queens College for the 10-hour participation of the workshop at the non-teaching adjunct rate (up to $550 total) after having taught six online or hybrid credits within the two semesters following the workshop.

Please note: To receive a payment for the 10-hour participation of the workshop, participants are required to submit a copy of the certificate and a letter from the department chair indicating you have taught six online or hybrid credits within the two semesters following the workshop.
