Lots of people pledged some amount of money in the recent thread
entitled "need your help to overhaul docs" (see
http://groups.google.com/group/pylons-discuss/browse_thread/thread/7bd833209369bc5f). This was great. I've spoken to Graham and I think we're about ready to pull the trigger on actually doing the work.
I've since set up a contribution page at
http://pylonsproject.chipin.com/pyramid-documentation-overhaul to
actually accept the pledged funds. If folks who pledged would be kind
enough to visit that page and click the orange "ChipIn" button on the
flash widget on the right hand side of the page, and do the needful
thereafter, I'd be grateful. The money will be sent to Agendaless
Consulting, who will distribute it to Graham as necessary.
chipin.com uses PayPal to collect the money. If sending money via
PayPal is not convenient for you or your organization for some reason,
please contact me off-list and we can arrange for some other mechanism.
Although the goal was $5000.00 originally, I've put the target at
$5500.00 to offset Paypal transfer fees. Assuming we reach the goal,
Agendaless will keep about $300 of this money to cover those fees.
Thank you!

Confirm there is a slight delay on your payment showing-up, don't panic!

Cheers,

If using the chipin site is an issue, and you still want to use PayPal,
you can send the funds to "agend...@paypal.com" using PayPal directly,
for what it's worth. If this doesn't work for you for whatever reason,
please contact me offlist and we can try to work it out.

Thank you Brian, Hynek, Artur, Robert and everyone else who sent in
donations.
We've got about $1800 sent over so far, which is a good start. Thanks,
in particular to Fabian Reinhard from Seantis gmbh, who contributed
$1000.

I'm pleased to report that we've seen $2813.00 contributed so far via
ChipIn, which is a little over 50% of our goal. This is great.

We, Japanese Pylons community, have sent 10,502 JPY (about 126 USD) via PayPal.
If you would have any problems with JPY, please tell it me.
I will resend in USD again.
We really want better documentation! We hope to help it.

We are at 58% of the goal, and I see no reason to think we won't meet
the goal of $5500.00 by March 30, which is the campaign cutoff date. I
will likely be shaking folks down at PyCon for additional contributions.
In the meantime, Graham has begun to work out where to concentrate his
efforts by automating the generation of "readability score" for each
paragraph in the documentation. It's likely he'll publish the results
of this effort publically soon.
