hi all,

I'm interested in running turbulent pipe like simulations for which I need to provide turbulent inlet boundary conditions.
Assume that I can not use periodic boundary condition for inlet from the outlet.

There are two usual ways:
1. use input files for each time step from another simulation that provides developed turbulent flow.
2. provide defined fluctuations over a mean profile of the variables.

Are these options implemented in PyFR compressible or incompressible solver?

Cheers,
Vishal

Hi Vishal,

Thanks for your interest in PyFR.

Neither are implemented yet, but we are working on it, and hope to have the technology in a release soon.

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter,
Pinging again about this, as some time has passed.
Any progress on turbulence level defined at the inlet? We would be happy to test and/or help implement this.
Thanks!
