No news on the website nor any mail on the list. Is this project dead?

Hi Christer,

I removed myself from contributing to the project more than 6 monthes
ago, tired to feel alone
facing so many things which have to be done.

I think the project is really stuck at this time but not dead, also
I'm not the owner nor the founder of the PureDarwin project. But it
clearly looks dead, alas :/

Best,
Aladin.

Too bad!

I had the dreams of running Gentoo's portage with PureDarwin, but as a
PhD student in physics I don't have time to contribute now.

Also my Macbook has a janky 80 GB disk, so I didn't have the space
recently for a real Mac OS install, as I use Gentoo for my physics
work, and Mac cannot replace it.

I love open source, and I like my Mac laptop, but I just loath Aqua.
So I found a lot of appeal in the PureDarwin project, but I didn't get
much past getting a bootable USB, since hacking on Gentoo was much
more productive for me for now.

From my brief stint, Aladin seemed to be the god of the project as far
as coding went. But maybe in a year I'll have time to play, and I'd
love to work on this project.

So maybe dead, but can it be considered for zombification later?

Probably, but I wish it wasn't

Unfortunately, I haven't had time to do anything with PureDarwin,
either. The problem has always been lack of contributors. Maybe next
year. Maybe.
