Here is the new 4.5 gdata provider from the developer. though not officially released as yet - please note this

https://queue.taskcluster.net/v1/task/NPXTiLb1SRe7DUB6aWLgGw/runs/0/artifacts/public/build/gdata-provider.en-US.xpi

I have installed it with TB 64 and it works fine (so far - have no doubt it will be stable!)

ciao

Does this work on only specific architectures or will it work also on linux x86_64 ?  I run arch linux 64 bit and try to test the latest beta of Thunderbird - I haven't been able to run TB 63.0b1 since the available provider for google calendar is only available generally for up to 63a1

Thanks

Hi Mike

I only run it on my Mac which now has Mojave (apple OS is based on unix/linux so would imagine fine. Though, I would have thought TB to be platform independent in that not just runs on them all, it needs little to no "jigging" across platforms.

Happy to be corrected of course and suspect I will be 😁

Ciao

With the emergence of Thunderbird 65.0b1 on 1st December in the candidates directory for thunderbird releases at:

does anyone have a newer version of the Provider for Google Calendar that works with TB 65.0?

With Thunderbird 65.0b5 released on the 17th December in the candidates directory as build3, at:

and once running the version in the help menu for "About Mozilla Thunderbird" shows as 65.0b5, I thought I would try that build with the Google Calendar Provider Addon from earlier in this thread - and it works fine.

Would really prefer to download from the Mozilla store. It's been 6 weeks or so since this was posted. Any word on when we might see it through official channels?

I downloaded the source file tarball for 65.0b1 build3 - and had a look at the files.  I noticed that there is a directory  comm/calendar/providers/gdata/ with a load of files in it - so I wondered if the gdata provider is now being built into thunderbird directly?  Does anyone know?
