Prey account issue

I really want to try this product out, but was stunned when it asked me to create my account outside of an encrypted session. 

I was able to prefix the webpage with HTTPS and it seems like this would work, but this gives me a lot of concern about how such information/credentials would be stored. Considering this is specifically a security product, this seems like a silly oversight. 

Please let me know if I missed something.
