Google the global space balloon challenge. I've become a primary school teacher since leaving the UK, and I'm thinking of doing this with my year 6 class next year.

Are we allowed to discuss things like this at AGM?

Hi all,

David,

Great to hear from you!

We've got some guys interested in making a weather balloon type thing to photograph the curvature of the earth.

Should be interesting!

Ian,

That's it. I thought the balloon guys might be interested in it.

The AGM is outlined here:

The purpose of the AGM is to really discuss the organisation and make sure it's going in the right direction, so we don't want to take too much away from that.

The actual meeting should be less than an hour so it needs to be as brief as possible, but there's plenty of time before and after for chatter.

I'd probably suggest that this type of thing is briefly mentioned at the end when we get to "Any other business" to get some traction and arrange a further meeting or talk to get the meat on the bones.

It'll likely dovetail into some similar topics we need to cover, such as the broadly titled "events" section I've written in my notes.

There's another open night between now and the AGM also, so plenty of time for discussion!

Cheers.
