Correct identity is a very useful Thunderbird Add-on that allows to automatically assign a custom identity as the default identity for all conversations. But it also allows, based on keywords, to detect the correct identity for a conversation so that the risk of sending from a wrong identity is reduced. Yet there is no compatible version of it to use with Postbox. Since I relied heavily on this Add-on back in my Thunderbird times I made it compatible.

See the attachment for a version working with Postbox greater than 2.0b1.

Thanks for this. What is involved in making an extension compatible?

Hi David,

I am glad you like it. A while ago I wrote a blog post on how to make
any Firefox extension compatible:

Thanks very much for your OP, Robert.

I successfully installed your share, but had no idea how to use it so I went looking for the original in the hope that it would tell me.

Not only did that solve my ignorance issue, but I also found out that there is an update (to v1.4.3).

I downloaded it and was ready to apply your work-around to make it compatible with Postbox, when I realised that it comes already compatible!
