New Toolkit and Grassroots Mapping Forum!

Hello everyone,

Public Lab is excited to announce the new Wetlands Tool Kit and a new Grassroots Mapping Forum (available at the store here). Over the past year the Public Lab Gulf Coast Chapter has been working on a project to monitor water restoration sites around New Orleans. One of the outputs of this project is the Wetlands Toolkit which aims to make wetland mapping and monitoring projects more accessible for others. 

The toolkit includes a series of workshops that walks a group through: gathering collective knowledge and stakeholder engagement, identifying wetlands and appropriate monitoring strategies, collecting data and advocating for a wetland site. There are even lesson plans for wetlands monitoring for the classroom. We invite you to take a look, give it a shot, and of course, as it's a wiki, add in what it looks like to monitor wetlands in your area! Learn more about the New Orleans project in the new Grassroots Mapping Forum.
