Announcing OpenHour! [Landfills: Mapping and Monitoring]

Hello everyone!

OpenHour will be hosted this coming Monday, February 1st at 1:00pm est on the OpenHour page. The topic of this OpenHour is "Landfills: Mapping and Monitoring." For this OpenHour we will be joined by:

- Nick Johnson, a Public Lab Organizer who has spent time working on landfill mapping around New York. You can see some of Nick's work on http://www.lifeoftrash.com/ and http://www.opentrashlab.com/. 

- Pablo Rey is Public Lab Organizer who will be calling in from Spain! Pablo has done landfill mapping of the Saugus Landfill outside Boston. Pablo also works with http://basurama.org/  and has been drawing landfills on OpenStreetMap. 

- Peter Anderson, President of RecycleWorlds Consulting, Executive Director of the Center for a Competitive Waste Industry, and Project Director for the multi-state Plastic Redesign Project.  Peter has also studied landfill’s responsibility for greenhouse gases and climate change.
