With over 90 players (and around 70 kids) signed up for the Kampong Cham weekend, we are going to set another record of attendance for this new player development event.
The sand and the combination with a mini hat tournament is probably part of the success together with the fact that we are meeting kids directly in their home town/province.

So if you are still hesitating about joining it, don't!... and drop us an email so that we could include you in the transportation and the accommodation list.
If you are in but you can't make it anymore, don't!... and come anyway! ;-) If that happens, drop us quickly an email.

Here is a overview of what awaits you next weekend:

Saturday (15/02/14)
08:30am Travel from Phnom Penh to Kampong Cham (Meeting at Herb Café near Wat Lanka)
12:00pm Lunch in Kampong Cham downtown
12:45pm Meeting at Mekong Hotel then heading to Goh Bine island / beach, cleaning up sand and setting up fields
02:00pm Mini Beach Hat on an island of the Mekong
07:00pm Dinner at Samakgi restaurant on the riverfront and Party in Kampong Cham downtown

Sunday (16/02/14)
08:00am Meeting at Mekong Hotel then heading to Goh Bine island / beach
08:30am Clinic with Kampong Cham / Northern Kampong Cham / Liger kids on the same spot
12:00pm Lunch in Kampong Cham downtown
02:00pm Meeting at Mekong Hotel and travel back to Phnom Penh
05:00pm Estimate arrival time in PP

Regarding the costs, there is a weekend fee and everyone is covering its own food and accommodation.

Weekend fee: between $15 and $20 (including transportation, bridge fee, water/ice, etc.) Our treasurer will confirm the exact amount.

Accommodation: Hereafter, you will find a list of suggested guesthouses/hotels in Kampong Cham (thanks to Vicky and Derick). Most of the players will stay at Mekong Hotel (around $8 for a room with fan and $13 with A/C) (the recommended one), anyone who doesn't want to stay at Mekong Hotel, has to deal with their own booking.

Food: breakfast and lunch will be taken in Kampong Cham downtown and is up to your desire and budget, Dinner will take place all together at Samakgi restaurant.

Don't forget to bring:
- your hat;
- your sunglasses,
- your sunblock
- your disc
- a pair of socks
- light and dark shirts
- some snack
- your water bottle
- your umbrella
- your towel / mat
- your swimming gear

Looking forward to seeing you there,

Amaury
for the player development committee

Guesthouse Recomendations Notes
Monorom VIP on Riverfront Slightly pricier than normal, but probably the nicest hotel in Kg Cham, which isn't saying too much.. it's on the main riverfront strip, great view.
Leap Mongkol Guesthouseaway from the main riverfront strip, but right next door to Vicki, and in a nice Khmer neighborhood. Great Khmer food stand across the way
7 Makarafurther from the riverside, but has a small pool, rooms range from $13 - $17 . Rooms are quite nice. Even had one with a BATHTUB once!!!
Mekong HotelLots of rooms here, bicycles for rent, on the main riverfront strip. The rooms are decent. recommended for overall atmosphere, location, value.
MittapheapOkay rooms, fair prices, near the Big Market.
Da LyTHE nicest hotel in Kompong Cham. About $20/night. But really beautiful, and brand new! A 2 minute walk from the riverfront, just around the corner from the (quite obvious) "KTV"
Phnom BrosA 6 minute walk from the riverfront. $6 fan rooms, $12 A/C. Still close to everything, and has their own restaraunt
Mariya HotelRight next to Monorom VIP at the north end of the riverfront strip. Prices on par with the average. Rooms are kind of interesting. Many are not what you'd usually expect.
