The regular Monthly meeting is scheduled to happen next Thursday.

Who has something to present?

Philly Tech Week is the following week, including both the Unity Showcase and the IGDA Game Showcase. If April is too busy a month, we could cancel this month's meeting.

How say we all?

If anybody wants information on either Tech Week event and how to participate, let me know.

If you mean Thursday the 19th, I can actually make that one. :D

Does anyone want to present a howto for Unity networking because I could really use that. ;)

I would love some more networking shizzle. I've only had limited experience and ran through the basic Unity tuts.

I'm game for showing up next Thursday.

We have a new in-house texture/ui atlasing system we would be willing to show off.

I'm mid-season for Rugby so Thursdays for now are out for me, but I've got a Networking prototype I can probably show in May. It's mostly RPC calls with a master sever running locally but I can hook back in the Network View things to show off. It's the basics but show's off communication btwn PC & iOS on the same wireless router. If it sounds like worth showing off let me know and I'll get the OK from work to demo it.

This would be my first meeting. I am new to Unity but still would like to come out and quietly sit back and try to learn something.

Is there a time and place on the 19th that has been established?

Thanks!

Nothing terribly new to show here, but I can expand on details of a part of anything from previous show and tells if there is something that people would be interested in getting a little more depth on?

Woody: Meetings so far have usually been at Indy Hall (3rd st, just off of market), 7pm - 8 or 9ish

Dave.

Will said he and the rest of Cipher Prime can't make it.

Anybody else have something to show?

Dave, do you have enough stuff to show for a meeting?

I'm kind of inclined to cancel this month since there's so much going on. But I will gladly also host a mellow get together if people are interested. What do you guys think?

I could talk about using external versioning with Unity (for us people using free). But that won't take much more than 5 minutes... maybe not even that long.

Unless there's something specific from a previous example project that someone would like to explore, that I can do tutorial style... then I'm leaning towards no. the busy-level just went up to 11 for a while.

if not, get together sounds good

Hey guys,
I have a speaker who may be interested in presenting if we get an OK from someone else. Him, myself and a few other people worked on a Unity game for PNC Bank in 4 weeks using Kinect for 360/Windows while also using Unity's networking technology to connunicate data to/from Android tablets. It was crazy. If we get the OK to present about this, are any of you interested? It would be a Google+ Hangout as the guy is in CO and I can't physically be there, but I may be able to pop in for a bit from my phone.

Thanks all!
Dan

That sounds epic. Is there a PNC where I can try playing this game?

Dan & Christian, both of those sound awesome. Dan, would your speaker want to do it as early as this Thursday or at the next meeting, which would be May 17th?

Hey all,
RE: That sounds epic. Is there a PNC where I can try playing this game?
As far as I know, no, but PNC is touring around the country with the game for the next 7 months or so.

RE: Dan, would your speaker want to do it as early as this Thursday or at the next meeting, which would be May 17th?
He's up for Thursday! I'm actually going to invite him to this thread and he's going to do it via Google+ Hangout. Please invite me to the Hangout and I'll join when I can. What time are the meetings?

Feel free to email me directly if you want more info. I'm always available.

Thanks!
Dan

All,

I am the speaker Dan mentioned and worked with him on the code aspects of the PNC game, Wallet Wizard.  My background is a programmer/instructor/writer.

Also, I lead the FC IGDA Meeting Group which is (coincidentally!) a Unity SIG here in Fort Collins, Colorado, we've had going for over a year now.

Looking forward to meeting you all and sharing Unity stuff both ways.  Also, feel free to contact me before/after the meeting if you like.

Jake: Send me the new thread details too, please, and any updates to time/date that you want me speaking.

 Thanks,
