At the January 9 meeting:

* Jim Snow gave an off-the cuff talk about Glome, a ray tracer he wrote
in Haskell:

http://www.haskell.org/haskellwiki/Glome

There was quite a bit of discussion of both the code and the problem space.

* Merlyn Albery-Speyer gave a brief talk on Node.js and coffeescript.

* Since we came into the meeting without a planned topic, we started off
with a quick survey of topics people might be interested in, or willing
to present. In addition to the two above, "Snap Intro" was suggested as
a possible future topic. Snap is a web framework developed at Janrain.
The primary author was not in attendance, but perhaps can be encouraged
to present at a future meeting.

(These notes are brief because my "notes" consisted largely of a batch
of browser tabs that were lost when Firefox crashed. Oops! Also, they
are very late, and I apologize for not sending something out sooner.)

Next meeting is Monday, February 13:

Amy: Thanks for posting notes for the January meeting. I've updated
the pdxfunc.org page to include a link to them.
