I really like the idea of this photo. If the statue had been looking towards the hole in the clouds, it might have been a knock-your-socks-off wow photo (especially if there had been any crepuscular rays in the photo). But since it isn't, the photo seems to be two separate unrelated subjects. Perhaps moving to the left a bit so the statue is shot either next to the hole or surrounded by the blue sky... perhaps it would have been a stronger composition. I would also like to see the statue a little sharper and a little brighter so more detail is brought out. The lighting on the pedestal is beautiful but it tends to draw the eye downward, away from where you want it to go. Brightening the statue on the top would help offset that.

Also, there is an annoying black speck in the middle of the photo (perhaps a flying bird) that is very distracting that should be cloned out.
