On Thursday, April 10th, we will be distributing the Support Position Ballot for the 2014-2015 school year. In case you are unfamiliar with this process, please read carefully. Most of your PACE program commitment is volunteering in the classroom, and the balance of your commitment is met by attending all required meetings and holding a support position. This ballot asks you to select your top three choices for support position, and we will do our best to allocate one of your choices for you. Final allocation of support positions will be announced at the May General meeting. The deadline for ballot entries will be Wednesday, April 30th, after which time we will allocate the open support positions to those families who did not submit a ballot.
To help familiarize you with the support positions on the ballot, I have attached a document that provides an approximate time commitment (in and outside of the classroom) and a description of all of our support positions for 2014-2015 school year. We have worked hard to update this document with the best available information, but please be aware that these positions and time commitments could change over the course of next year based on the needs of the students, teachers and the program. Board positions are highlighted in purple and positions with the letter “G” and a number refer to a grade specific job (ie; G1 = Grade 1). Please submit ONE ballot per family.
If you have any questions or would like more information about a position please respond back to me at brix...@msn.com and I will connect you with the current job holder or classroom representative to learn more.
If you are not enrolling in PACE next year and have received this email, no action is required of you.
Thank you and enjoy your spring break.
Best Regards,
Brenae Brix
