Cc: Sirjana Sharma <sharma....@gmail.com>Saurav Dhakal is a storyteller based in Nepal. In his quest to pursue and promote innovative storytelling, Dhakal founded StoryCycle[dot]com, a platform to showcase stories from otherwise unheard of places and characters.
Through Storycyle, Dhakal conducted Storycamps and storytreks in various parts of the country. In 2102, Saurav completed the 1,555 km long Great Himalayan Trail from Khangla to Khalanga in 99 days. In 2014, Saurav led the Story Camp Everest with Google Earth Outreach to collect stories and digital footprint around Khumbu region and brings interesting Mapbase Stories. When the earthquake struck on April 25, 2015 Saurav was on his way to Namche Bazaar and Thame to showcase the stories to the locals.
After April earthquake Saurav started new campaign Our Dream City to facilitate of rebuilding efforts in earthquake by storytelling. For the same Saurav start to promote artisan around the earthquake affected areas. He is in town to organised “Nepal Show 2017” to promote traditional artists and Nepal as a tourism Brand.
He is going to tell the story of 6 personalities with the title of Cover Story where he will be telling story of Apa Sherpa, Anil Chitrakar, Mahabir Pun, Bir Bahadur Ghale , Pusha Basnet and Pushkar Sah with his Multimedia Presentation
