Chumnak Way cyclists roll into Ottawa today, on Thursday, AUG 9. Join us and #BikeForPeace at Dow's Lake st 5:00 PM

Chumak Way - cycle U.S. and Canada for Peace is a team of bicycling Ukrainian war vets who are riding 10,000 km around North America to raise awareness about the current state of affairs in Ukraine, promoting peace and supporting those affected by war.

Thursday, August 9, 5:00 PM - #BikeForPeace with Chumak Way in Ottawa! Greeting Chumak Way cyclists at Dow`s Lake together with Ambassador Shevchenko and other dignitaries, cycling up to Parliament Hill (tentative arrival around 6 PM). Non-cyclists can join the team for a group photo on Parliament Hill. Friday, August 10, 6:00 PM - UNF Ottawa-Gatineau will be organizing Chumak Way presentation and social evening hosted at the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada where Chumak Way team will talk and show videos of their adventures and showcase innovative bicycles made in Ukraine. Saturday, August 11, 8:00 AM Chumak Way will be leaving for Montreal. If you are up for a challenge of cycling 200 km or less from Ottawa to Montreal then you can #BikeForPeace with them too. Start at 8:30 AM from the parking lot in front of the French embassy (42 Sussex Dr).
