Paul and Ingrid's Pyrenean Traverse - Take 2

August - September 2013

Over 10 days, the French "Raid Pyrenean Touriste" starts on the Atlantic coast and traverses 26 cols, many made famous by the Tour de France, to arrive at the Mediterranean, paralleling the Spanish border. The ride is almost all on the French side of the Pyrénées, with excellent mountain views. The route is often in remote countryside, passing through quaint, small villages. This was a challenging, beautiful, sometimes grueling ride, involving daily ascents of 1500m - 2500m; it climbed many classic ‘hors categorie' cols including Col d'Aubisque, Col du Tourmalet, and Port de Pailhères.

There will be pictures and stories. Come share our French journey.
