Hello,

I drove through downtown Helsinki yesterday and spotted some places where Osmand showed me three lanes although there were only two. I just checked the first place in OSM and in there the number of lanes is correct. Is this a known issue? If you want an example, please set Osmand to route you from way 83915881 to left, on way 138368249.

Actually I might have just spotted the source of the problem: way 30263225 (takes from 83915881 to 138368249) which has tags lanes=2 and lanes:turnleft=1. So I suppose Osmand counts 2+1=3 but in reality the way has only two lanes where only the left one is allowed for turning left.

I think the data has changed. So the data used to be 3 but after that it was improved and one lane was assigned to turn left. Or this might be a lane from lane:psv.

Based on the histories of 30263225 and 83915881 the lanes:turnleft=1 tags have been added already on 27th Jan 2012 (no other edits since that).

I will address that issue when we have proper turn:lanes support. Currently we support only lanes tag and it must be wrong calculation based on other lanes tag.
Proper lanes information support is high priority issue for now.

Thank you Victor.

I didn't know that lanes support is still WIP.

Keep up the good work, guys

Just showing correct number of lanes is quite different from supporting turn:lanes tags.

I also experience wrong number of lanes shown at this road: way 249191919 .
There are these relevant tags:
lanes:psv=1
lanes=3
psv:lanes=yes|yes|designated
vehicle:lanes=yes|yes|no
oneway=yes

When I have routing enabled to go straight along this secondary road, OsmAnd 1.7.4 shown 4 lanes, and marks the leftmost 3 to follow (yellow and green).
I know that the lanes are shown for the next intersection, but there is not place along this road where there are 4 lanes.

The correct display would be to show 3 lanes and always mark only leftmost 2 to follow, because the rightmost one is reserved for psv. Only at some places it may be possible to use the 3rd lane for branching right (if tagged that way).

The theory is that OsmAnd adds the 1 lanes:psv-lane to the 3 lanes, while per the wiki the 'lanes' is for all motorized traffic so it includes the psv lane. It also ignores the vehicle:lanes restriction (if I have set routing for a car). It would be great if this would be implemented to allow better navigation in cities.
Thanks.
