If you are getting too many emails from this mailing list, email sonomasoli...@gmail.com, mention the Climate Action group (as we manage several mailing lists) and we can switch you to digest mode. So instead of getting lots of individual messages, you get a batch of messages (up to 25) combined into one very long message. The digest will contain a summary of the subject lines at the top, so you can quickly scan them and click on any of topics to jump to the part you want to read. It's easier to read/scan that way. I was also confused about the 11 page document. To be clear the link Chris provided is not the new green deal itself but rather the Establishment of the Select Committee For A Green New Deal. Attemps to scuttle it as you may already know has been made at every turn by Nancy Pelosi who want her old style toothless select committee loaded with oil interest members. In any case is this what we are talking about? For another critical view of the New Green Deal I recommend reading the In These Times article We Have To Make Sure the “Green New Deal” Doesn’t Become Green Capitalism. In a nutshell we should support GND and at the same time hold its feet to the fire on every detail as otherwise the beltway will corrupt it as is usually does. As FDR said to labor-- make me do it.

Thanks for the links, and Kamran's critique. I appreciate the Green Party GND's simultaneous attention to a 'functioning democracy' and reigning-in the military industrial complex in particular. Not clear how we could accomplish GND goals otherwise. 

Love this as the takeaway from the In These Times piece: the Green New Deal needs a leftwing intervention.
