Dear Relatives,

We have great news! It’s official! TC Energy has officially withdrawn their bid for the Keystone XL pipeline after President Biden nixed a border-crossing permit for the project. But make no mistake—this victory belongs to the organizing work done over many years by thousands of Indigenous peoples and allies.

NOW it’s time for all of us to keep the momentum going to Stop Line 3 and the Dakota Access Pipeline! Here are three ways you can get involved:

1. Go to Line 3

As many of you may have seen, this week was a powerful and impactful time of direct action to stop Enbridge's Line 3 pipeline across Anishinaabe territory! Much love to all the water protectors who traveled to stand in solidarity with Indigenous and frontline groups. Over 2000 people took action! The number one ask from the front lines is still for people to show up in person. For more information on the new camp that was set up on the headwaters of the Mississippi follow the Rise and Engage Collective on Facebook or Twitter or reach out directly by email

2) Sound the Alarm on Social Media

Here’s how to amplify on social media using this toolkit

3) FLOOD THE BIDEN ADMIN WITH PHONE CALLS & LETTERS TO STOP LINE 3 AND

ALL FOSSIL FUEL PROJECTS

You can use this call-in guide to flood the Biden administration with phone calls This number, 888-724-8946, will direct calls to several different White House offices. More info in the guide.  And Movement Rights is pleased to support this exciting Indigenous Report Back from the frontlines and Call to Action on the Summer Solstice, June 14, to write 1,000 letters to the White House!to participate and engage by Zoom, or watch on FB live.

Thank you for joining us in the fight for clean air, soil and water,

Pennie Opal Plant and Shannon Biggs

Co-founders, Movement Rights

P.S. We beat KXL, now it’s time to #StopLine3 and all other fossil fuel projects, #HonorTheTreaties & #BuildBackFossilFree. Please join us in pressuring President Biden to write an Executive Order by participating in any of these 3 solidarity actions. To support bail for some 200 people arrested at Line 3 you can donate to the frontlines in Minnesota.

P.P.S. Support Movement Rights’ work as part of the Build Back Fossil Free Coalition and our solidarity actions and events supporting Indigenous Rights, Treaty Rights and Nature and Climate Rights. Thank you.
