Join the Windsor Town Council Meeting THIS WEDNESDAY at 6 PM and comment on Agenda Item 12.3 to stand up to corporate interests that don’t care about our climate and livable future!

The Town of Windsor achieved a huge milestone last year by adopting an all-electric reach code, effectively eliminating gas pipelines from being installed in new housing construction and ensuring more clean energy for our future.

Natural gas is a lead emitter in methane, which is 84 times more polluting and harmful than carbon dioxide. Gas emissions  don't only impact our natural environment, but pollutes the air in our homes. Electrification efforts will help Sonoma County reach its climate goals and remove harmful pollutants from our homes.

However, major Sonoma County multi-millionaire developer Bill Gallaher has pressured the town into removing the reach codes by threatening them with lawsuits. If Windsor succumbs to this pressure, then corporate bullying immediately endangers other climate goals across our Sonoma County community. We know that our future is on the line and neither Sonoma County or California has the time to reverse policies meant to provide clean air and to keep us safe.
