Hi: The Santa Rosa Climate Action Subcommittee (SR CAS) is receiving a staff report on the subject at its Wednesday (Zoom link) meeting at 4pm. The focus is on restaurant take out foodware and is around eliminating polystyrene for hot food containers. The staff report delves into issues around going with compostable alternatives (not accepted by our local compost centers currently) and other details.

The meeting also offers an opportunity to hear an update on RCPA's Climate Emergency Mobilization Strategy. Tanya Narath is the director there and she will present on this important framework. Lots of work has been done, but much remains. I've attached the presentation slides for those who would like to preview.

The SR CAS meeting has an open public comment period at the beginning of the meeting, and comments on specific agenda items follow each item.

Best,
Mark
