What does the work URL mean?

What does

in the context of orcid:orcid-work mean? A link to the full text, a
link to an alternative display of the bibliographic metadata, or
something else?

Hi Torsten,

The work URL field is intended to provide a link to full text of the work. We especially encourage members to use it if the identifiers for the work don't resolve to a full text version.
