Hi,

Accordingly to DOI's handbook, the DOI names are case insensitive:
https://www.doi.org/doi_handbook/2_Numbering.html#2.4

 10.123/ABC is identical to 10.123/AbC

So, when organizing publications in groups, ORCID should group  10.123/ABC and 10.123/AbC in the same group. This isn't happening. Instead, we are getting the 2 same publications in 2 different groups. Is this a bug or an enhancement? How to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

It's a known bug that wont get fixed in the short term. Some identifiers are case sensitive and other are not. It will be a project to catalog which is which and refactor our codebase. For the rest of 2016 it's heads down to finish 2.0 APIs. Expect to see us take this on in 2017.

Until then populating works with the same case is the best solution. It's also possible to populate duplicate DIOs with different casings.

Cheers,
Rob
