Is there a simple mechanism to empty an inbox? Mine now has 600 messages in it and while I can ignore them I am sure next year it will have 1200 messages.

Hello Andrew,

You can archive all notifications in your ORCID inbox: Click the check box in the upper right above the notifications listing, then click the archive selected button that will appear.

Ok. I was hoping for a solution that did not have me click 120 times,
ie with 10 messages displayed at once I need to 1 click to select the
checkbox and then 1 click to select the "Archive Selected" x 60.

Hi Andrew,

This is a good suggestion, as there will potentially be other users who end up with 100s of notifications on their record. We'll add a feature for a Show All notifications option which will let you display and then archive all notifications at once. You can track our progress on that at https://trello.com/c/VdvDVOpd/3520-add-a-show-all-notifications-option

For a short term solution, since you're on the sandbox you can set up a new ORCID record and start again with a fresh inbox. On production we don't want users creating multiple accounts, but for the sandbox feel free to create as many records as you need for testing.

Best,
-Catalina
