Hi all,

Today, a new client version is being released to http://app.opensiddur.org . The newest feature is the first version of a "simple interface" editor that does not require any knowledge of XML (no angle-brackets). 

To access the simple editor, press "New", start a new document:

Or, open an existing document:

The simple editor supports only a very limited subset of what the XML editor does. As of now, it only supports (1) editing segments of text, as in the example below:

and (2) adding/editing internal or external links using the links button/dialog:

It is only recommended that documents prepared with the simple editor be edited with the simple editor. 

The next stage of client development will involve iterative addition of features to the simple editor, so it can eventually replace the XML editor. Of course, any help getting to that goal is appreciated :-)
