Hey,

when I grade the submission of a task, the next step remains "Grading" and the "action needed" icon is still there, even though grading has been done (i.e. score has been entered).

How to reproduce:
- Create a task course element
- Under workflow, check "Task assignment" and enter tomorrow as date
- Under workflow, check "Submission" and enter tomorrow as date
- Under workflow, check "Grading"
- Save "workflow"
- Under "Grading", check "Score granted" and enter 10 as maximum score
- Under "Grading", uncheck "Display passed/failed"
- Save "Grading"
- Under "Assignment", click "Add task", enter "test" and upload some file and click "save"
- Under "Assignment", select "Automatic task assignment"
- Save "Assignment"
- Publish your changes
- Login with a student account and select the created task course element
- Click "Upload document", select some file and click "Save". Then click "Final task submission" and click "Ok"
- relogin as Coach and select the task course element
- next to the student user that was just used, the „step“ is "Grading" and the „action needed“ icon appears

- select the student user and click „grade“

- Enter a score (e.g. 1) and click „Save and close“

- go back to the task overview

Result:

The „step“ next to the student user is still „Grading“ and the „action needed“ icon is still there.

Expected Result:

The „step“ should be something like „Completed“ and the „action needed“ icon should disappear.

I tested this in OpenOLAT 10.4.11. I read the changelog of 10.5, but could not find an issue for this, so I expect the issue remains in 10.5.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Greetings,

Christopher

Hi Christopher

The current datamodel does not have a "done“ information. Grading can be done in between, multiple times, just once or not at all. „having a score“ does not imply „task done“ for may use cases.

The issue is known and we need to wait for OpenOLAT 11 to be released before we can see how we address this. In OpenOLAT 11 the course assessment data model has been refactored to a dedicated table and there we have more flexibility to implement this kind of „done“ information. The same kind of „done“ can could also be helpful for other course elements.

Cheers
Florian
