What is the functionality of o_bs_secgroup table?

While creating new user in OLAT application, it’s always insert ‘65541’ value in secgroup_id of o_bs_membership table.

For example:

O_bs_secgroup

65541, 0, '2013-12-19 20:24:29'

 

o_bs_membership

151420928, 0, '2014-02-25 19:48:41', '2014-02-25 19:48:41', 65541, 151322624

Could you please clarify me the significance of secgroup_id in o_bs_membership while creating new user.

Hi 

Most likely you will find a named group in o_bs_namedgroup that references the same security group. The name of that group will be “users”. So, this is the way OpenOLAT knows that this user has the “users” rights. There are other named groups for admins, authors, usermanagers etc.
