Copy learning resource between courses?

Hi,

I am trying to create a course in OpenOlat 14 and re-use modules from other courses. I have not been able to figure out how to do that. I would like to ideally reference an existing resource in another course or at least create a copy of a resource. I understand I can set external links, but I would like to keep the existing navigation structure and in case of tests, be able to analyze results, etc.

I would very much appreciate your help with this.

Hi Bart

Right now you can not cherry-pick parts from other courses. What you normally do is: 

- put common resources to a shared folder resource

- use this shared folder in all your courses

- don’t upload videos in courses, instead create video resource in the authoring environment and embed them into the course

Then just create a copy of your last course and modify it as you need. Many people create template courses and start from there instead of starting from scratch.

Regarding the suggestion to put shared resources into a folder: My understanding is, that that is only possible for external media files, but not for ressources created inside OpenOlat, such as checklists. Is that correct?
