GDPR and Olat and Audit Logging

Hello, 

I would like to ensure that we show every login and logout in the Olat server log , and I am not sure of the best way to do this.  Any suggestions?  Also thought I would open this topic on the general subject of GDPR and Olat compliance.

Hi 

Login and logout it logged in the olat.log, there is nothing to configure, it works out of the box. 

Regarding GDPR, please see the changes we made in 12.5. https://www.openolat.com/funktionen/releasenotes_e/neue-funktionen-12-5/

Hi Florian thanks for the reply!    I login and out and nothing shows in olat.log.  I've tried various things in logging.properties including org.olat.level = FINE but although I see things like nice audit messages when I change a property I dont see actual login audit messages.   i am running 10.5

Do I need to upgrade or any other ideas?

Hm, I can’t say anything about 10.5, this is years old code! We are now on 12.5. However, this has not changed as far as I can remember. 

When I log in / log out I get the following messages:

So, if you have no „Logged on“ and „Logged off“ in your olat.log your have some log misconfiguration I guess. Note, when running in eclipse, this normally goes to your console and not to olat.log. Also check your catalina.out if your logging is missing.
