LDAP connectivity

Hi,

To enable the LDAP connectivity for openolat please suggest the steps.
Also which jar files are using in openolat for LDAP.

Hi

You can configure the LDAP connection by customizing your olat.local.properties (if you don't know what plat.local.properties, please read the INSTALL.README.HEAD in the root of the OpenOLAT project).You will find all the possible configurations in the olat.properties under src/main/resources/serviceconfig, search for:

ldap.enable=false

There are explanations for almost every property. OpenOLAT use the LDAP connection from Java and don't need extra libraries.

I finally understand the syncronization with LDAP.

Can you explain how to configure LOGIN with Identification Provider like Shibboleth or other ?

Shibboleth really is an expert configuration.

1) Install Apache together with mod-shib. Ask your identity provider or your federation admins how to configure this to work with your IDP.

2) In your olat.local.properties configure all properties that start with shibboleth* (look at the olat.properties file).

3) Then, configure the Shibboleth context according to your needs. I really can’t help you with that, this totally depends on your Shibboleth identity provider and your federation.
